Habitat Coalition
Habitat Interfaith Alliance
For 8 years the Hebrew Educational Alliance has been involved in an
interfaith coalition affiliated with Habitat for Humanity of Metro
Denver. Over the years the coalition has grown, and currently has 12
member congregations, 6 synagogues and 6 churches. These include:
B’nai Havurah, Central Christian Church, Christ the King Catholic
Church, First Unitarian Universalist Church, Hebrew Educational
Alliance, Prairie Unitarian Church, Rodef Shalom, St. John’s
Episcopal Cathedral, Temple Emanuel, Temple Micah, Temple Sinai, and
Trinity United Methodist Church. Every year we raise the money
needed to build a Habitat for Humanity home in Metro Denver,
currently $85,000, and then we build the home.
Throughout the year we need people to help with our major
fundraisers: a pumpkin patch in the fall, an interfaith soup dinner
in the winter, a book sale in late winter, and a golf tournament in
late spring. We always need people to help with our build as well.
