Family Camp: Camp ~ Explore ~ Learn ~ Celebrate
August 6-9th 2010
Ramah in the Rockies is hosting its second annual Family Camp August 6-9, 2010. Join us for an unforgettable weekend in the beautiful Rocky Mountains at the site of Ramah in the Rockies. We will create a "castle in time", as we camp, explore, learn and celebrate together.
Adults will engage with study and discussion of The Sabbath, by Abraham Joshua Heschel, while age-appropriate programming will be provided for children.
Family Camp highlights include:
• Shabbat services and celebration
• Family campfire, singing, and Israeli dancing
• Hiking, Wilderness crafts, bike riding, and more
Special programming will be provided for children entering kindergarten through 5th grade-- hikes, nature crafts, Shabbat programming, and more. Eighth through twelfth graders are invited to participate in our "Tzedek Ramah" Initiative- a Jewish social justice curriculum, empowering the teens to be community organizers. This program is generously underwritten by the Rose Youth Foundation.
